It's easy to see how maneuvering about the map, zooming in and out as clusters expand and contract can be fun. Tapping into clusters or single locations produces results that curate memories based on location instead of the usual timeline. Benefits to this feature are demonstrated when someone can enjoy special places such as a favorite vacation spot or far-away family.

Hi-Fidelity Wireframes
Because of a robust symbol library system in Sketch, all our wires are pixel-perfect. Generally designed for Android first, once designs have been finalized, iOS wires are then created, with variations for platform nuances included.
Locations designs were first drafted, then reviewed with the Product Manager, and then presented to the Agile team. Here, ideas are explored, technical issues addressed, and even empty and error states get discussed and implemented in iterations. When we think we are in a good place, I walk our Verizon stakeholders and extended team through all the wires. In some cases, where we have new ideas that may need additional visual resources, I will create either clickable prototypes or videos to help everyone catch the vision.
Here, the introduction and organization of the swimlanes are explored.
Verizon Cloud: Locations
Introduction & Goal
Inspired by the competition, Verizon wanted a new way for users to engage and interact with their Cloud content to increase app usage. Leveraging Google Maps SDK and Apple Mapkit, this project proved to be a surprising success. This was the last Verizon project where Synchronoss provided complete, end-to-end designs. Forward, their in-house design would take over.
Process, Experience & Outcome
Like all projects, they follow a product intake flow. UX was brought in once the feature had been vetted and considered feasible. Examining products in the wild that already employ similar technology, we brainstormed how best to fit this into our current product. We needed to note that not all content may be viewable if the owner didn't enable location when it was taken. To help keep clustered results organized, I introduced a new component, swim lanes, for each location. Because the project was so engaging, the entire Agile team was particularly excited. This was displayed in their above-average diligence and everyone contributed to design ideation.
Early launch data proved users who accessed the map view explored their content 3 times more than expected.
